The National Dysfluency Clinical Excellence Network (CEN, previously known as SIG) is a group of UK speech & language therapists, who are specialising in Dysfluency or would like to know more about the disorder and are interested in sharing information about newest research and best practice in the field of Dysfluency. Meet our current committee here. Our constitution can be downloaded here.
Membership to the National Dysfluency CEN is open to all registered speech & language therapists, SLT students, retired SLTs and other interested parties approved by the committee. We currently have 88 members. Click here to renew your membership or join us!
Our group's aims are:
to provide mutual support, information and contact for colleagues working in the field of Dysfluency
to organise study days and meetings to promote continuing professional development
to act as a forum to discuss policy developments and issues relating to Dysfluency
We produce a newsletter SIGNAL twice a year.
Study days are held three times a year at various venues in the UK. Please see events for more details. These meetings are free for members. Meeting minutes are available for members with website access here.
Our next study day will be in June 2020
Many of out members are also part of local Dysfluency Clinical Excellence Networks. If you are interested interested in finding a local CEN, please click here.
If you have a fluency disorder yourself or are a relative, please go to our News page, which contains links to informative and helpful sites of other bodies and associations.
