The Fluency Trust is a registered charity, who work in partnership with Swindon Borough Council to run highly specialist residential courses for young people who stammer.

The courses are unique in combining intensive speech therapy with outdoor pursuits and led to the development of the award-winning Swindon Packs. These have become a popular resource for Speech and Language Therapists.

The Stuttering Foundation is based in the USA. They provide free online resources, services and support to those who stutter and their families, as well as support for research into the causes of stuttering. They have a catalogue of information resources both on their website including blog posts and a podcast.

The British Stammering Association, trading as "Stamma," is a registered charity. Their mission is to support anyone who stammers in the UK and tackle the stigma, ignorance and discrimination that people who stammer often face so that they can live their life in full and with dignity.

Michael Palin Centre

The Michael Palin Centre is a specialist assessment, therapy and training organisation based in London that provides individualised support to children, young people and adults who stammer across the UK both through the NHS and private practice. They also offer development opportunities and training courses for Speech and Language Therapists. 

Action for Stammering Children

As a UK registered charity, they aim for a society where children and young people who stammer have the same opportunities and quality of life as their peers. Their goal is to ensure that every child and young person across the UK who stammers has access to effective services and support to help them meet the challenges they face.

Talking Out

The ‘Talking Out’ residential is a specialist intervention for teenagers who stammer. 

The course is fully funded by the charity Action for Stammering Children (ASC).

The 5 day course combines speech and language therapy, outdoor activities and a residential experience. Talking Out Ltd is based in Yorkshire but accept referrals from across in the UK.

A team of Highly Specialist SLTs in Airedale are offering teletherapy to children, young people and adults who stammer across the UK. They work towards each individual’s unique goals to increase confidence, participation and happiness. They also helps people with interviews and employment.

Parent information sessions and school-based peer/teacher training sessions are available.
